The Thistle and the Jade – A Celebration of 175 Years of Jardine Matheson has just been published by Frances Lincoln Publishers, Hong Kong. Edited by Maggie Keswick; revised and updated by Clara Weatherall.

It charts the history of the famous China trading house from its founding in 1832 to the present day. The book was first published 25 years ago to mark the 150th Anniversary of Jardines founding and has now been updated for the 175th Anniversary and includes a chapter by Adam Williams – A Changing Relationship – which recounts Jardine Matheson’s history in China over the last 25 years.
